Current Trades & What To Expect Going Into The Weekend

Today’s quarter basis rate cut was to be expected, and just as I thought, no big push for a larger rate cut, said Powell.

Overall, it was a pretty uneventful day. Stocks, bonds, and gold experienced some volatility this afternoon, but overall, there were no significant changes. The put/call ratio has remained low (everyone is bullish), and the VIX has remained low (investors are not scared).

Perhaps the market requires some time to process the decision. As one of our members noted today, Rimas’ “Quad witching on Friday could bring additional volatility, especially tomorrow.”
